13 Nov: Grammar Chants

Chanting, where the group repeats what the leader says, removes a lot of the processing load compared to discourse, where the responder has to adjust the pronouns and verb tenses (as well as find all the words on his or her communication aid)." 28 Oct: AAC Month @ Town Hall & Masonic Hall

We took our kit to the Town Hall 28 October and the Masonic Hall 4 November to raise awareness of AAC during AAC Month. We did some synthetic phonics, grammar chants, read out our campaign and showed clips from two AAC movies - Only God could Hear Me and Wretches & Jabberers.

26 Oct:: AAC Month Relays

Today people around the world Skyped, Twittered, posted on Facebook and blogs and talked in chat rooms for 24 hours for International Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Month. All through October every year people hold events and share stories and movies to celebrate AAC. This year some people are doing 'Power of Communication Relays' to raise awareness of AAC.

We took the ‘I Love AAC’ banner to Durham Area Disability Leisure Group last Cyclability session of the season at Durham Cricket Ground race track 30 September. Thank you friends!
